This renovated, semi-detached, stone holiday cottage, listed by virtue of its attachment to a Grade II listed cottage, nestles in the beautiful village of Lea on the east bank of the River Derwent. The cottage has been lovingly restored to a very good standard. Full of character and charm throughout, this is a great cottage to get away from it all and enjoy true country living. Enjoy the peaceful countryside with excellent walking and cycling from the door. Within a mile of the property is the World Heritage site that houses the world’s first water-powered cotton spinning factories. Matlock Bath, 4 miles, boasts smart riverside cafés and bars. Slotted in between are more traditional pubs, restaurants, tea shops and ice cream parlours. Here visitors can experience a cable car ride up the dramatic face of The Heights of Abraham gorge, and admire the views of ‘Little Switzerland’ as Byron once described this area. Shop ¾ mile, pub serving food and restaurant 200 yards.
