Canal Marsh2 bedrooms, Sleeps 4.

Peaceful first-floor canal-side apartment on the Shropshire and Mid Wales border, with balcony views to the Welsh hills, shared grounds and easy access to Oswestry and days out.

No smoking. This property has a £150 security deposit.

With the Montgomery Canal drifting past the balcony and the Welsh hills rising in the distance, this first-floor hideaway is made for slower mornings and easy days out. Set on the Shropshire and Mid Wales border, it sits around 2 miles from Oswestry, so shops and places to eat are within simple reach while the setting remains reassuringly peaceful. Whether you come for towpath strolls, cycling or simply to watch the boats go by, you have a handy base for both countryside and town.
Accessed via open-tread steps, the accommodation is arranged as a bright open-plan space where you can cook, chat and put your feet up in comfort.

Patio doors open onto a private balcony, ideal for a cuppa or an unhurried supper while you take in the canal outlook. Two bedrooms provide flexible sleeping, one with a king-size bed and one twin, and there is a roomy shower room plus an additional separate WC. Linen, towels and WiFi are included for a relaxed stay.
Outside, the property sits within shared canalside grounds on an eight-acre site, with parking for two cars and dedicated space for motorcycles.

Gates in the hedged boundary make it easy to join the canal path, and canoe hire is available if you fancy reaching a welcoming local pub in a different way. Venture further afield for days in Chester, historic Shrewsbury or Llangollen with its steam railway and riverside adventures. Several well-known National Trust days out are within around half an hour by car, before returning to your balcony and the calming waterway
