Steventon, located in the Vale of the White Horse in Oxfordshire lies approximately 5 miles from the towns of Abingdon and Didcot. On the banks of the Thames, Abingdon, purported to be the oldest town in England, is steeped in history with many fine old buildings. Visit the large collection of steam locomotives at Didcot Railway Centre where you can also ride on the 1930s trains. No trip to this area is complete without a visit to the historic University City of Oxford where you can meander through the streets admiring the beautiful historical buildings, have a punt down the river, or enjoy a shopping spree at the large shopping centre.
