If you’re seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life, we have the perfect countryside retreat for you. Millers Loft is the ideal hideaway, tucked away in the Shropshire countryside, just a short drive from the medieval town of Shrewsbury, sleeping two adults and two children or a couple. Nearby attractions include the Bishop’s Castle, and the historic town of Ironbridge and thriving market town of Ludlow.
Millers Loft has been thoughtfully decorated by the owners, with its bright colour scheme creating a calming air to relax in. Upon entering, guests will notice the open plan living area, making it a great space to relax in and socialise. To the right-hand side are the stairs up to the mezzanine with the comfy double bed.
The kitchen is well-equipped and comes with everything you will need for your stay, along with a dining table and four chairs. The children get to enjoy the bunk bedroom, and there’s a bright family bathroom. Trees and greenery are dotted throughout the lawn area, outdoor seating, and plenty to see. There’s a well, a pond and a wonderful feeling of being in nature.
A few minutes’ drive down the road is Pontesbury, you’ll find Earl’s Hill Nature reserve and Pontfords hill, the village also has a butcher, deli, supermarket, hairdressers, and a few takeaway restaurants.
Shrewsbury is full of finds to be discovered by foot or by boat, the River Severn is a must, as is the café culture, farmer’s market, the castle, and the churches that dominate Shrewsbury’s famous skyline, only a ten-minute drive. Further afield takes you to the medieval market town of Ludlow, famous for its castle as well as many food and drink festivals throughout the year to enjoy. Take a trip to the town of Bridgnorth, home to The Severn Valley Steam Railway, explore the World Heritage Site of the Ironbridge Gorge or discover the numerous National Trust properties of Attingham Park, Benthall Hall, Sunnycroft House and Carding Mill Valley all within easy reach.
