Set in complete seclusion, this handsome renovated 17th-century farmhouse stands in acres of private grounds with a stream surrounded by woodland and meadows, ideal for children. The property is situated at the head of the Slad Valley with unmade-up track for last 200 yards (where car access can be difficult in bad weather, especially snow); this is one of the valleys described by the poet Laurie Lee in his book ‘Cider with Rosie’.
