Moonstone Cottage is located on the spectacular Northumberland coast. Set in an area of outstanding national beauty, the white sand beaches along this stretch of coast are among the best in Britain.
Located close to Holy Island with it’s Castle and Priory the island was one of the principle centres of Christianity and was given to St Aidan in AD635 by the King of Northumbria A causeway links the island to the mainland and is open twice a day at low tide. Alnwick Castle and Gardens is also close by.
The castle was used as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films and the gardens have been re-modelled in contemporary style with plenty for the whole family to enjoy.
Also well worth a visit is Bamburgh with one of the finest castles in England. Perched on a rocky outcrop, it dominates the surrounding coast and providing an excellent viewpoint from which to see the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne. The castle and its museum are open to the public.
The local area offers a wealth of activities including fishing, cycling, golf, birdwatching and gliding.
If you enjoy a game of tennis, there’s a rural grass court on the farm from April to October.
Moonstone cottage is one of 4 cottages on Honey Hill farm. All are beautifully converted farm buildings that have been modernised to a high standard. Sleeping either 6 or 8 guests in three or four bedrooms, every one of these luxurious properties has a large enclosed garden where children can play in safety.

This is a lovely and bright cottage has large windows to allow the sun to flood in, and at almost one third of an acre it has one of the largest gardens, perfect for alfresco dining when you can enjoy the fantastic views.
This spectacular four-bedroom barn conversion is one of the largest of the four luxury self-catering holiday cottages at Honey Hill Farm. The cottage has been designed to allow the sun to stream in, filling the rooms with warmth and light. Externally, the cottage's superb south-westerly gardens, offer unrivalled views of the surrounding Northumberland countryside.
The living room offers a feature stone fireplace housing an electric stove fire, flat-screen TV with integrated Freeview, DVD player, and arched French doors leading to a private terrace and lawned gardens.
This spacious and well-equipped farmhouse kitchen / dining room has been designed to maximise your holiday enjoyment. The kitchen includes granite worktops, large ceramic hob, double oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and CD radio. The dining area has a high quality farmhouse table and chairs, plus a granite breakfast bar. A utility room contains a washing machine, tumble dryer and sink. There is everything would you want to make your self-catering holiday a success.
There are two double bedrooms each furnished with a king-size bed and with en-suite facilities, and two twin bedrooms. There is also a modern family bathroom.
This cottage offers a superb private terrace with garden seating, parasol, magnificent enclosed south-west-facing lawned gardens - perfect for enjoying warm summer evenings - and uninterrupted panoramic views of open countryside. There is allocated parking for two cars at the front of the property.
What’s included
Heating and Electricity are included in the price. Bed linen and towels are provided. Logs for wood burner are also provided.
Changeover day is Saturday in high season, and Friday in low season. Arrival time is after 3.00 PM, departure before 10.00 AM. The property is available for weekend and short breaks
