Located close to Holy Island with it’s Castle and Priory the island was one of the principle centres of Christianity and was given to St Aidan in AD635 by the King of Northumbria A causeway links the island to the mainland and is open twice a day at low tide. Alnwick Castle and Gardens is also close by.
The castle was used as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films and the gardens have been re-modelled in contemporary style with plenty for the whole family to enjoy.
Also well worth a visit is Bamburgh with one of the finest castles in England. Perched on a rocky outcrop, it dominates the surrounding coast and providing an excellent viewpoint from which to see the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne. The castle and its museum are open to the public.
The local area offers a wealth of activities including fishing, cycling, golf, birdwatching and gliding.
If you enjoy a game of tennis, there’s a rural grass court on the farm from April to October.

Heating and Electricity are included in the price. Bed linen and towels are provided. Logs for wood burner are also provided.
Changeover day is Saturday in high season, and Friday in low season. Arrival time is after 3.00 PM, departure before 10.00 AM. The property is available for weekend and short breaks
