Set in lovely countryside, this comfortable and spacious detached holiday home, mainly all on the ground floor, lies in a quiet area next to the owner’s state-of-the-art equestrian centre. Only two minutes from the A697 yet set in open countryside with beautiful views and walks from the doorstep, with the Devils Causeway crossing the field by the property. The lovely conservatory, with its seating area and countryside views, is an ideal place in which to wind down after a busy day out. There is a 90 square metre fully enclosed area in the garden for dogs.
The cottage is in a great location to explore the many visitor attractions in Northumberland. Alnwick Castle is only 14½ miles away and featured in the Harry Potter films, so will delight children and adults alike. Rothbury is only 8½ miles away with a good selection of pubs and cafés, and pretty riverside. The National Trust’s property, Cragside, should not be missed while you’re visiting Rothbury. The coast is only 14½ miles at Druridge Bay and Otterburn is 22 miles where you can travel into the acclaimed Dark Sky National Park, and perhaps include a visit to Kielder as well.
The small village of Longhorsely has a village shop and pub and is only 2¼ miles away. The pretty and historic town of Morpeth is only 9 miles with plenty of pubs and shops as well as a swimming pool and riverside rowing boats. Beach 13 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2¼ miles.
