This charming, ground floor, 1870’s cottage is set only 350 yards from the High Street with a fabulous choice of friendly village pubs and cafés all within strolling distance. A perfect cottage for up to four and ideal for couples, with a good sized living area and a wood burner to cosy up in front of on those cooler evenings. Addycombe Cottage was originally built for workers from Lord Armstrong’s Estate in the 1870’s, and the exact cottages can also be seen on the Cragside House Estate nearby.

Rothbury is a small historic market town with a village square and pretty riverside with something to offer for all age groups.

Walking and cycling is popular here as the town is known as the capital of Coquetdale, surrounded by the Simonside Hills and on the edge of the National Park area. The stunning Cragside House is a wonderful National Trust property with stunning gardens and well worth a day out. The energetic may like to walk, but there is ample parking should you wish to drive. Once you are parked you can walk around the town easily, take a stroll down the river or cross over the stepping stones.



Access around the county is easy from here so you can visit the nearby villages and onto the Northumberland Heritage Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with miles of golden beaches and historic sites to explore. Alnwick Castle is only 12 miles, home to the Duke of Northumberland and famous for some Harry Potter scenes. Travel to the national park for a different day out surrounded by forests. Kielder is one of the largest man made lakes and has some stunning scener
