Dolly’s Cottage is located in a peaceful rural village overlooking the Tyne Valley, a fabulous base for exploring this beautiful part of Northumberland and beyond. It is the perfect location for a relaxing break or active holiday. The cottage has a large living room and a lovely inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove, for those cooler evenings. The raised patio to the rear which is accessed through theFrench doors, is ideal for relaxing and taking in the view over the countryside.



While you are here make sure you visit some of the nearby attractions Cherryburn (National Trust) and Prudhoe Castle (English Heritage) that make for interesting trips out. Take a day to explore Beamish Open Air living museum and other days to explore Hadrian’s Wall (World Heritage Site), which was the north-west frontier of the Roman Empire for nearly 300 years.

Nearby, the pretty village of Wylam has an multi-award winning CAMRA pub. The restaurant, only a few yards away, serves lovely food and is popular with villagers and visitors alike. Dolly’s Cottage is an ideal retreat to come home to after a day out exploring this diverse and friendly county, with something to see and do for everyone. Beach 15 miles.
