Just 7 miles from the historic town of Corbridge and 11 miles from Hexham. The Hayloft has been restored by its owners to offer a high standard of accommodation. The open plan living space has a stylish, fully equipped kitchen, attractive dining space and spacious living area with two comfy sofas. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a family bathroom. The barn has beautiful picture windows, you can simply sit and watch the world go by and experience the different seasons on the farm.
Out in the fields you will find horses and sheep grazing, and beautiful views off into the countryside.
Out and about there are beautiful villages and towns, castle, forts, golden beaches, golf courses, race courses, cycling and walking all within easy reach. Newcastle’s city centre and Gateshead Metro Centre are both within a 40-minute drive. With many places to choose from within a short drive, visit the historic town of Hexham in the beautiful Tyne Valley, which features an ancient abbey set in a pretty park. There are some lovely walks along the River Tyne, interesting stone architecture, cobbled streets and a medieval gaol.
The town has a host of coffee shops, restaurants and pubs.
7 miles away is the Saxon village of Corbridge with its narrow streets and a variety of interesting shops, coffee shops, eateries and pubs to try. The riverbank provides a lovely place for a stroll. In the opposite direction enjoy a visit to the picturesque village of Rothbury. A short drive will take you to the Northumberland National Park and the Hadrian’s Wall National Heritage Site where guests will be able to discover some of the Roman Forts including Vindolanda, Chesters and Housesteads.
