Early risers will appreciate some lovely sunrises from the front windows over the sea, whilst a few steps out of the garden and there is a ramp taking you down to the promenade which stretches almost a mile along the seafront. The beach is never busy so you are certain to enjoy a relaxing time where you can pop into the local ice cream parlour set in the centre of the promenade or wander further onto the Maritime Centre with a small museum, gift shop and café.

You can catch a bus on the corner of the street or take the car over to Morpeth, a lovely historic little market town only 9 miles away, with a pretty riverside, great shops and eating places.
