Seaview Cottage is situated in the pretty seaside town of Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, near the bustling market town of Morpeth and just a stone's throw from the beach. The cottage, which sleeps 2-6 in 2 bedrooms, provides a superb base for visiting this Northumbrian coastline, Tyneside and the Scottish borders. The area is rich in wildlife - with breathtaking scenery and a gorgeous coastline providing a choice of many scenic drives, perfect for walking, bird watching or for a cycling holiday with the family.

This newly-refurbished cottage is just a minute's walk to the promenade, overlooking the sea.

In the heart of the village is a wealth of cafes, restaurants, shops, a sports centre and a children's play area. The cottage is perfectly placed for an abundance of activities - boat trips are available to the Longstone Lighthouse; Go Ape Tree Top Adventure Centre is only 15 miles drive and the area is rich in castles, gardens and history. Alnwick Castle, the location for Harry Potter's school Hogwarts, with beautiful gardens and a giant tree house for children to play in, is less than 40 minute's drive away.

Balliffgate Museum Gallery in Alnwick is well worth a visit; as is the stunning castle at Bamburgh, spectacularly situated on a peak of basalt, overlooking the Holy Island of Lindisfarne and the gorgeous beach. The Steam Railway at Alston is a great day out for all the family and there are numerous children's play parks in the region.

This pretty self catering holiday cottage in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea dates back to 1850 and has been completely refurbished to provide a fresh, modern, comfortable space for up to 6 people over two storeys. The extensive lounge enjoys a sea view, and is immaculately furnished with comfortable seating for 6, wall lighting, and a digital TV and DVD player.

The kitchen of this seaside cottage has everything to make self-catering easy including an electric oven and hob, a microwave, fridge, freezer, washer dryer, toaster and a good range of utensils. This is a cottage with ample dining space, so you can enjoy a family meal in comfort.

The two bedrooms both have lovely sea views. The master bedroom has a comfortable double bed with quality bedding to provide a good night's sleep. This room is equipped with a digital TV for those long lazy holiday lie ins! There are two twin beds in the second bedroom, with two pullout beds to create additional sleeping space for 2 more people. Both bedrooms are equipped with cupboards with plenty of hanging space. The bathroom is to the rear of the property - decorated with clean modern tiles in blue and white and with a power shower giving ample hot water - perfect for rinsing off after a morning swim!

The cottage has its own garden to the front and rear, with barbecue and garden furniture for dining out or just relaxing in the sea air. Convenient parking is available on the road to the back of the house. This is a lovely comfortable cottage with a seaside location, perfect for a family holiday in Northumberland.
