Kia Ora Cottage is a south-facing, stone built, semi-detached, single storey property, located on a small private development just a short stroll from the high street in Seahouses.

The cottage is aptly named after the warm and welcoming Maori greeting, Kia Ora meaning hello, goodbye, welcome and good health.

With a welcoming living room with sofa and reclining chair, and a lovely bay window, the perfect place to snuggle up with a book, while a 55" Smart TV provides streaming for your entertainment. A well-equipped kitchen provides for all your needs, with a good range of electrical appliances; there are three large bedrooms all with TVs, giving flexible sleeping options and ample storage. The garden bedroom has a door opening out onto the pretty garden. Outside, the cottage has a beautiful rear enclosed, lawned garden that benefits from unobstructed sun for most of the day in the summer months, perfect for those relaxing days.

There are two decking areas that are linked to each other creating an ample outside seating and eating area. Ideal for your fish and chips supper.

Out and about there is so much to do. Seahouses has wide appeal for all age groups with its golden beach, fish and chip shops, cafés, gift shops, pubs and restaurants, and all within a short walk of the cottage. Enjoy a stroll down to the working harbour where boat trips around the Farne Islands are a must, the islands are famous for their nesting seabirds and grey seal colonies. Or take a walk along the golden sandy beach, and enjoy the fresh sea air.

The picture postcard village of Bamburgh, protected by its dramatic fortress, is only 2 miles north with its wide expanse of golden, and often empty, sandy beaches.

From here the tidal island of Lindisfarne, locally known as Holy Island and the birth place of Christianity in England, can be viewed. Budle Bay is a bird sanctuary, and at low tide a vast expanse of mud flats is the home to thousands of sea and land birds, making this location a haven for bird watchers. Travelling a few miles inland visit the market town of Alnwick, with its impressive castle, cobbled market place and assortment of shops, galleries and tea shops. Alnwick Garden is a popular visitor attraction with its grand cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe.

Kia Ora Cottage offers an idyllic coastal retreat from which to explore the 20 miles of Heritage Coastline designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beach ½ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
