On the lower floor, you’ll find a comfortable king-size bedroom and a contemporary bathroom with a double walk-in shower. Upstairs, the bright lounge is a lovely spot to unwind after a day out, with a Smart TV for relaxed evenings, while the kitchen-diner by the window is ideal for slow breakfasts and planning the day ahead. Everything is set up for an easy, comfortable stay, and there is a handy laundrette nearby for longer breaks.
Seahouses is one of Northumberland’s best-loved coastal villages and makes a brilliant base for guests discovering the area for the first time.

Once a working fishing port linked to nearby North Sunderland, it still has a bustling harbour atmosphere today, with fishing boats, leisure craft and boat tours heading out to sea. The harbour is also known for its historic lime kilns and RNLI connection to local heroine Grace Darling, whose story is woven into the character of the village.
One of the biggest draws is the Farne Islands, reached by boat from Seahouses harbour. These famous islands are known for wildlife, with seals often seen on the rocks and thousands of seabirds gathering in season; if you’re lucky, you may even spot dolphins on the trip. The islands also have links to St Cuthbert and Longstone Lighthouse, home of Grace Darling.
Back on shore, Seahouses is made for seaside days and scenic walks. The beaches here are wide and sandy, and you can walk all the way to Bamburgh along the shore, with unforgettable views of Bamburgh Castle along the way.

It is a wonderful route for dog owners, with sea air, dunes and plenty of space to roam. Golfers are well placed for rounds nearby, and the wider Northumberland coast offers quiet bays, coastal paths and dramatic scenery in every direction.
Food lovers will also be spoilt for choice. Seahouses is known for fresh seafood, traditional fish and chips, and friendly local pubs and inns. Local favourites highlighted in visitor guides include Pinnacles Fish Restaurant, while places such as The Bamburgh Castle Inn and the Black Swan Inn are among the village’s well-known spots for food or a relaxed drink after a day exploring.
For couples wanting comfort, coast and character in equal measure, The Fat Puffin is a charming base for a memorable Northumberland break
