Dovecote House lies just 20 minutes drive from the glorious Northumbrian coast. This stylish, Victorian, terraced house is perched above the pretty town of Wooler, on the edge of the Northumbrian National Park. The house is decorated and furnished in a contemporary style with great attention to comfort and retaining some original features. There is both a spacious family kitchen with 2 comfortable sofas, a cosy wood burner plus a chic, first floor sitting room with views of the surrounding hills. Cross the causeway to visit the picturesque, Holy Island, head for the beach at Bamburgh with its stunning castle, look out for puffins and seals on a boat trip to the Farne Islands from Seahouses or take a day to explore the magic of Alnwick Castle, famous for the Harry Potter films. There is great hill walking in the Cheviots and cycling on peaceful local roads. Golf is available, 4 miles away. Beach 16 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 175 yards.
