High up on Kirkstone overlooking Ambleside in the tranquil Stockghyll Valley, The Nest sits on a 2700 acre traditional working Lakeland farm estate. Originally the old horse carriage house, The Nest provides comfortable and cosy accommodation in the form of a one bedroomed annexe. A bird watchers haven where Buzzards fly above the neighbouring farmland and where Highland Cattle, Herdwick sheep and other rare breeds graze and wander freely. The elevation provides magnificent Lakeland views in every direction and the rurality provides darks skies for amazing star gazing. An ideal base for fell walking, cycling or just chilling out, a true ’getaway from it all’ retreat.
This property can be booked together with Willow Cottage (CC123284), Hazel Cottage (CC123280) and Oak Cottage (CC123293) to accommodate up to 12 guests. Ideal for parties or weddings, you can even land a helicopter in the grounds! .
