This detached house lies just yards from the seafront, and offers a sea view from the top window. You can enjoy relaxing in the double spa bath, with built-in television, or spend time soaking up the sea air in the garden lazing in the hot tub and sheltered gazebo. Inside, the master double bedroom with its kingsize bed, air conditioning and an en-suite shower room, can be found on the first floor, along with three further double bedrooms, one of which also has a kingsize bed. Downstairs is a lovely fitted kitchen, living room and dining room which opens onto the garden. Knott End is a seaside village overlooking Morecambe Bay boasting a selection of shops, drinking establishments and cafés, including a very popular ice cream parlour.
There is also a golf club and plenty of coastal walks for those wanting to get out and about. Other places that are worth a visit along the Fylde coast include Thornton Cleveleys with its old fashioned charm and promenade, 9 miles; Fleetwood with its Freeport Outlet Shopping Village, marina and beach, 12 miles away; and of course Blackpool, whose many attractions include The Tower, Blackpool Zoo, Pleasure Beach, Sea Life Centre and Madame Tussauds.
Apart from being accessible for the coast, Oakland is also ideal for exploring rural Lancashire. The Ribble Valley, with its pretty villages is within an hour’s drive, and is an excellent choice for walks and country pubs. The Forest of Bowland, a a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, can also be reached within an hour’s drive. The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are also very accessible by road and can be reached in an hour, whilst the city of Lancaster is just 14 miles away. Beach 550 yards.
Need inspiration - single storey or holiday home on the coast? North West England has wonderful wildlife. There are many cottages that accept dogs in The Lake District, Cumbria , Cumbria or Windermere - some have private tennis courts.
