Renovated in 2020, this beautiful modern cottage offers well-proportioned rooms and is perfect for couples and families to relax, unwind and explore the sights of the South Cumbrian Coast. You have the best of both worlds with easy access to Humphrey Head beach, a popular tourist spot for beach lovers which is 2 miles away and you are right on the border of The Lake District National Park. You have it all, with walks, great cycling routes, stunning scenery, local pubs and great shopping.
Hillside Farm Cottage sleeps up to four guests with a kingsize bedroom and a twin. The contemporary bathroom features a bath with a separate shower cubicle and heated towel rail.

Also upstairs is a small room which can be used for quiet time, maybe reading a book with a glass of wine and is large enough to hold a travel cot. Downstairs is a bright and modern living room that provides plenty of easy seating, flat screen TV and a warm atmosphere to relax after a day of sightseeing. The open plan kitchen/dining room is well-equipped, includes a dishwasher and offers everything you need to prepare a hearty breakfast before a day of adventure or a family meal in an evening. At the rear you’ll find an enclosed lawned garden, with colourful flower beds and garden furniture so you can soak up the sun and enjoy wonderful views to the coast and the sea.
Allithwaite is a short drive from both Grange-Over-Sands and Cartmel and is onlyabout 7 miles from the southern tip of Lake Windermere with easy access to the higher fells.

The local pub is a short walk away, where a warm welcome is guaranteed and delicious food is always on offer. Grange-Over-Sands and surrounding districts offer an interesting selection of historic seaside resorts and quaint rural villages. Grange is an elegant town with a long, sweeping promenade fronting the bay, lined with antique and collector’s shops and cafés. Cartmel, famous for its priory and race meetings, is well worth a visit, if only to sample the local sticky toffee pudding.
