Perfectly positioned in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with an abundance of wonderful walking routes, some starting from your very front door, taking you across the Pendle countryside and beyond. Cyclists will love the steep and winding country lanes that snake through the villages. The area is steeped in history, most notably the Pendle Witch trials, with many of the surrounding villages providing a fascinating insight into the area’s colourful past.

Newchurch-in-Pendle even has the ’Witches Galore’ gift shop and museum, which is a must see all year round.
Nearby Barley is the base for climbing/walking Pendle Hill and has two fantastic local pubs serving delicious food, as well as a café and picnic area. If you fancy treating yourself to fine dining, head to the village of Fence, 1½ miles away, where you can find a Michelin star restaurant. The bustling market town of Clitheroe, which is the capital of the Ribble Valley District, is just 8 miles away, and in addition to its Norman castle it also offers a great selection of shops, bars, and restaurants. The Lake District National Park, Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Fylde Coast are all within an hour’s drive
