Extra Amenities

Hen Harrier Lodge is a beautiful barn conversion, adjacent to the owners’ home, and aptly named after the emblem bird of the Forest of Bowland which is one of the last remaining strongholds for breeding Hen Harriers in England. The lodge has been designed to a very good standard, combining work from local artists blended with contemporary and traditional furniture to create a romantic escape. The landscaped grounds and private patio allow you to enjoy the local countryside in your own garden. On the very doorstep is the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which offers a variety of scenic walks and cycling routes.
The main living area, combined with its bi-fold doors and contemporary fire, make it the ideal place to enjoy the views. The contemporary kitchen features all the necessary equipment you will need along with the all-important Nespresso coffee machine for those lazy mornings. The light and spacious bedroom is designed with a sumptuous kingsize bed, dressed in White Company linen. The room offers a full length mirror and dressing table with hairdryer and hair straighteners.

The exquisite shower room has a large walk-in rainfall shower and complimentary local artisan fragrance body care toiletries. The underfloor heating and heated towel rail keep the fluffy White Company towels and dressing robes warm – totally divine.
The patio with furniture and umbrella overlooking Hayshaw Fell and Catshaw Fell is a perfect spot to relax or dine. With the Trough so close to the doorstep, the garden attracts a plethora of wildlife and the binoculars provided give you the opportunity to sit and observe the local fauna and flora. In addition, bike storage can be arranged, offering the ability to explore the local area on two wheels. Cycle hire is available locally and guided cycling can be arranged with the owner. Local walking maps will be available along with advice on great routes to try.
