This beautifully presented, detached sandstone house in the heart of Penrith is ideally situated for exploring the delights of the town centre on foot. The owners have lovingly furnished each room to offer good levels of comfort, with a stylish twist of 21st century life.

Renovated in 2019, the property features three spacious bedrooms on the first floor with a kingsize, a double and a twin room giving great flexibility. You’ll also find two good sized bathrooms, one with a shower cubicle and the second with a shower over the bath. The ground floor boasts a spacious living room with a 65 inch Smart TV and plenty of seating, as well as a large separate dining room. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped, and you even have a separate utility and a wet room, both also on the ground floor.

The fourth bedroom is on the ground floor and features twin beds.

Thanks to the size of the property and its setting you’ll benefit from plenty of natural daylight from all four sides, creating a light and airy feel. Outside you’ll find spacious gardens with a patio, mature plants and shrubs as well as a couple of ponds and views to the nearby fells. Private parking is available on the driveway. Just a short 10-minute walk takes you to the heart of Penrith’s vibrant town centre.

Penrith has an abundance of pubs serving great food and local cask ales, alongside all manner of eateries from bistros and fine dining to sandwich bars and fast food. The high street has a really good range of shops including the usual brands but also many independent shops for a great shopping experience.

If you need to stock up on supplies, a major supermarket is just over a mile away, and you can reach the train station in just 20 minutes on foot, offering easy rail links from the north or south.

Penrith is located on the eastern border of the Lake District National Park. If you like outdoor adventure you’ll love the scenery, walking and cycling routes, lakes and mountains nearby. Ullswater, with its famous steamers offers a great day out. If you have younger children, be sure to visit the Rheged Discovery Centre with children’s activities, outdoor play area and cinema, 4½ miles away. If you like a bit of heritage and culture then a visit to Lowther Castle and gardens is a must. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
