This beautiful, detached, timber lodge with a private hot tub and an outdoor seating area, is just perfect for a holiday to remember. You will appreciate the peace and tranquillity from the moment you arrive. Take a dip in the hot tub to ease those aching muscles after a long journey or a day walking in the nearby fells. Newly built in 2019, this timber lodge is packed with great features including an open plan living/dining room/kitchen which makes for a cosy social space to relax in front of the TV. Comfortably sleeping up to four adults, this two bedroom lodge features a double bedded master bedroom and a second bedroom with kingsize bed, making it ideal for couples and perfect for families.
Ballinorig Lodge is furnished to a very good standard and features free Wi-Fi.
Located on the western fringe of the Lake District National Park, just 4½ miles from Ennerdale, you can easily escape to the Lakes District with it’s stunning mountains, where you will find an abundance of walks, cycle routes and wildlife. Ennerdale is regarded as one of the most unspoilt areas of the Lake District National Park and thanks to this, it is full of wildlife including indigenous red squirrels, ospreys and buzzards. It also offers easy access to explore the western coast and has a couple of pubs and restaurants nearby.
The popular town of Whitehaven with good restaurants, a popular harbour and good shopping, is just 3¼ miles, whilst the picturesque St Bees Head Heritage Coast, with long stretches of sandy beaches for you to enjoy, is just 5 miles away.
If you want a real adrenaline boost, you have one of the best karting tracks in the country at Rowrah, 4 miles away. To the south you will find Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, known locally as La’al Ratty, a narrow gauge steam railway that takes you down an old mining route towards the sea. Muncaster Castle is 16 miles away and offers plenty of activities and fun for all the family. Beach 5 miles. Shop and pub ½ mile, restaurant 2 miles
