The hamlet of Seldom Seen sits above Thornthwaite, just two miles from Bassenthwaite Lake, three miles from the bustling tourist town of Keswick and nine miles from the quieter market town of Cockermouth. There are walking and mountain biking opportunities from the doorstep, with sailing and fishing available close by. Joan’s Cottage provides a very comfortable base for couples or larger families in a peaceful location yet within easy reach of all amenities.
