Kitchen/dining area: With electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and beams.
Bedroom 1: With double bed.
Bedroom 2: With twin beds.
Bathroom: With shower over spa bath, and toilet.

Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Fuel for open fire available locally. Travel cot and highchair.

Located right in heart of Windermere with all of the town’s amenities on the doorstep, Caxton Nook provides homely accommodation, ideal for couples and small families who like to have everything within easy reach. Caxton Nook is a self-contained, ground floor apartment which has its own access and dedicated parking space, a real bonus in Windermere! The apartment was refurbished summer 2020. Warmed throughout by gas central heating and with a cosy open fire in the living room, it is the perfect place to relax after a day’s walking or sightseeing. In addition to the spacious living room, which is equipped with a Freeview TV, DVD player, books and games, there is also a separate kitchen/dining area, two comfortable bedrooms and family bathroom.


Windermere town centre is less than a 2 minute walk and here you will find a lovely selection of individual boutique style shops as well as some high street favourites, supermarkets, galleries, cafés, restaurants, pubs and takeaways. Bowness-on-Windermere is just 1 mile away and again you will find a great variety of shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants. There is also a traditional cinema and the World of Beatrix Potter Attractions which draws in visitors from all over the world.

You can also take a ferry boat or steamer across the lake. The popular visitor centre at Brockholes is just a 5-minute drive away, as is Fell Foot Park with lake cruises across to Lakeside where you can visit the Aquarium or take a ride on the steam railway. For those wanting to leave their car at home, Caxton Nook is just a few minutes’ walk from Windermere train station. With so much to see and do you will definitely need to visit more than once!
