This romantic traditional English country cottage is host to all the beautiful features you would expect to find. Named after the lovely box hedging that surrounds the cottage, this Grade II listed cottage dates back to the 17th century. It has recently been renovated to provide a wonderful self-catering Kent holiday home. With a traditional brick path leading up to the front door of this English holiday cottage and surrounded by immaculate front and back gardens, this is set in a truly romantic location for a special break away.
Box Cottage has been sympathetically furnished with traditional pieces complimented beautifully with up to date soft furnishings.
A special feature of the Kent holiday cottage is the exposed inglenook fireplace in the dining room which has a fully-working wood burning stove to ensure that your winter breaks are cosy and comfortable. Original old pine floorboards downstairs add to the character, as well as traditional brick flooring in the entrance hall. A small winding staircase leads up to two bedrooms which are tucked into the eaves, both overlook the front garden out of little leaded windows and make the most of the stunning views of the rolling Kent countryside.
The pretty enclosed garden extends to the rear of the holiday cottage and from the kitchen you can wander out and enjoy the private outside space.
As the holiday cottage is in such a rural area of Kent there are an extensive network of delightful footpaths to explore so it is ideal for walkers whether you are just looking for a short evening stroll or a long cross country ramble. In the colder months why not look forward to cosying up by the fireplace with a good book and glass of wine. This cottage is ideal for anytime of year.
There is parking outside this Kent holiday cottage on the quiet lane.
