Take a trip to Chichester, where you can visit the town’s 12th century cathedral and admire an area that is steeped in history. Arundel with its historic castle and Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust are situated only 8 miles away and provide a good day out. The Goodwood Estate is well worth a visit and is situated just a short drive away, enjoy an event at the racecourse, or simply just walk round and admire the beautiful estate.
Also worth a visit is Fontwell Park Racecourse, which is only 7 miles away. Just a 45-minute drive away is Brighton, which is known for its cosmopolitan feel and has the Royal Pavillion, art galleries, theatres, extensive shopping, marina and much more, which provides something different for everyday of your holiday. If you wish to venture further afield, why don’t you head to the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and admire the Spinnaker Tower, historic ships and even waterside dining, or for an excellent day trip, take a ferry to the Isle of Wight.
