The city centre of Chichester is within a short drive or a 20-minute walk from Chichester Watersports. The streets are packed with listed buildings including the imposing cathedral which has been a part of Chichester history for almost 1000 years. The city centre is enclosed within the ancient city walls which is ideal for exploring by foot. With its plethora of attractions, shops and restaurants it is a vibrant cosmopolitan city, also home to the famous Festival Theatre. With such a long and varied history, Chichester is home to a dynamic arts scene and offers many galleries and museums to peruse.
Just a short drive and you can be in Chichester Harbour, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and one of the few remaining undeveloped coastal areas in Southern England.

Its wide expanses and intricate creeks are a major wildlife haven and among some of Britain’s most popular boating waters. If a trip to the seaside is on your agenda, then look no further than West Wittering beach, a 20-minute drive away. Offering wonderful views of Chichester Harbour and the South Downs beyond the natural and unspoilt sandy beach at West Wittering has been a favourite destination for a family day out for generations. From Chichester Watersports you can venture north to the South Downs and Trundle Hill offers spectacular views back to the city, as well as a great view over Goodwood Racecourse where the prestigious Glorious Goodwood meeting takes place in high Summer.
