Near Axminster in the quiet hamlet of Greendown, this spacious countryside cottage offers valley views, fresh air and a restful base for exploring East Devon. It is a good choice for families or friends who want rural peace without being too far from the Jurassic Coast, market towns, independent shops and welcoming local pubs. Scenic walks can be enjoyed straight from the door, making it easy to settle into a slower pace.
Inside, the cottage feels characterful and generous. The dining room has an antique table and dresser, and opens directly to a sheltered enclosed garden, which is ideal for outdoor meals or a quiet drink after a walk.

The sitting room is comfortably furnished and looks out across the valley, creating a calm space for reading, conversation or evenings in. A well-equipped kitchen, ground-floor cloakroom and nearby shared laundry facilities add practicality. Guests should note that linen and towels are not provided, so these will need to be brought from home.
There are two bedrooms, both with large en-suite bathrooms.

One room has a double and a single bed, offering flexibility for families, while the second has a super-king-size bed that can be arranged as twins on request.
