This attractive holiday cottage is situated within the grounds of the owners’ property, tucked away in a quiet rural position, surrounded by fields and open views. The property has been completely rebuilt from an old piggery and renovated to a very high standard. All on one level with stone flooring and underfloor heating throughout, it has a cosy wood burner for those colder evenings, and also boasts bi-folding doors leading to the garden, perfect for alfresco dining and bringing the outside in for the warmer summer nights.
This holiday cottage is ideally situated for the many attractions in this beautiful part of the West Country.
It is only a 5-minute drive to the centre of Frome town, with its famous cobbled streets and walkways where you will find plenty of great pubs, cafes and an eclectic shopping scene, not forgetting the Cheese & Grain for music events and Babington House for a luxury spa day. Spend a week visiting all the local places of interest, such as beautiful Georgian Bath, just 12 miles away, with its Roman baths, pump rooms, Pultney Bridge and weirs, and The Royal Crescent. Also close by is Bradford upon Avon, with its Saxon, medieval and Tudor heritage.
The surrounding countryside is ideal for walking, and cyclists, and nearby you have the stone circles of Avebury and Stonehenge.
Cheddar Gorge with its famous caves and gorge are also within easy reach, as is the amazing Longleat Safari and Adventure Park, which is an ideal day out for both young and old. The city of Wells is not far away with its fabulous cathedral and Bishops Palace, and not forgetting the mystical village of Glastonbury with its tor and abbey. As you can see, this holiday cottage is situated in a prime position close to all the attractions, but tucked away in a quiet corner of the Somerset countryside.
