Ideally located in the hamlet of Burnthouse between Falmouth and Truro., Falmouth is home to the National Maritime Museum, always a favourite with all ages, ideal if you want a day off from the beach. Boat trips can be booked from the harbour choose from fishing or sea safaris; you can even go by boat to St Mawes in the Roseland for the day.
For a more cultured experience head to the city of Truro, dominated by the spectacular Cathedral and lying adjacent to the Fal river, it has a different atmosphere, cobbled streets, lead down small walkways to hidden shops and restaurants, catering for all tastes there are an abundance of cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from.
If you head south, you will reach the most southerly point of the country, Lizard Point, you can picture Poldark and the smugglers bringing their contraband into the small hidden cove.
At the end of a busy day relax in the wood-fired hot tub, the night skies are spectacular, or on a chilly evening gather round the wood burner sharing stories of the day’s adventures.
