Millendreath has a licenced café providing local ales and home-cooked food right on the sand. Just a mile away is another beach at Seaton, with a local pub and beach bar – another great day out for families and couples alike. The resort of Looe is home to famous fish markets which are supplied daily with fresh fish from the day boats that leave the quaint working harbour. The Adrenalin Quarry is a must for the adventurous and it is only a short drive away. The Eden Project is also within easy driving distance and it provides an exceptional day out, as does Padstow, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Fowey, a picturesque seafaring town providing sailing, kayaking and pleasure trips along the River Fowey.

Deep sea fishing and other water sports can all be enjoyed in Looe, along with woodland and coastal walks nearby. To the east of the town is the historic city of Plymouth, with its National Marine Aquarium, theatres, cinemas, bowling and shopping, which can be reached from the historic village of Kingsand, right into Barbican, while to the west is Fowey, home to the royal sailing regatta and many galleries, shops and restaurants.
