There is a pond and leat in the grounds, 65 yards away.

Walkers can explore Dartmoor, spot wild ponies, cross ancient stone bridges spanning the River Dart, and admire the Tors. Visit Castle Drogo, Lydford Gorge, Buckfast Abbey, Torbay, Kingswear and Dartmouth Castles. Exeter, with its stunning cathedral, is a short drive. A nature trail and cycle route can be found on the Forestry Commission land, 7 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
