The cottage sits in a slightly elevated position close to the great local amenities of Trewellard and Pendeen, with a selection of pubs serving great local food and ales as well as tea rooms, small shop and a post office. The area is popular with walkers as it is within easy walking distance of the coastal paths with the dramatic coastline and mining heritage which gave the setting for the Poldark TV series.
Nearby is Pendeen lighthouse which links the coastal path, past the famous Crown Mines which are dotted along the cliff face to the breathtaking Cape Cornwall, with its wild rocky outcrops.
The location is perfect for exploring the delights of west Cornwall and is in easy reach of the beautiful, white sandy beach of Sennen Cove, popular with surfers. Visit legendary Lands End, the famous Minack open-air theatre at Porthcurno or take the scenic coastal drive from Pendeen to St Ives, passing heather clad moorland and the pretty ancient village of Zennor with its pub, historical church andtales of mermaids.
Trewellard is ideal for guests looking to explore further with Lands End airport offering day trips to the beautiful Isles of Scilly or the daily Scillonian ferry service from nearby Penzance. St Michael’s Mount proudly overlooks the wide sweeping beach of Mounts Bay and historical town of Marazion. The area is great for families or couples all year round from lazy summer beach days to wild winter stormy walks along the expanse of coastline during the quieter winter months, returning to cosy up in front of the wood burner. Beach 2¾ miles. Shop ¼ mile, pub 800 yards and restaurant 1 mile
