Verbena is a former sea pilots cottage and will come as no surprise that Verbena offers spectacular elevated sea views from all the principal rooms out over the harbour and to the Lizard peninsula. Built in the early 19th century this beautiful holiday home has been thoughtfully modernised yet still retains the traditional charm you might expect from a traditional Cornish cottage.
Step inside Verbena and you’ll find a spacious living/dining room that runs the length of the cottage.

The living area offers two comfy sofas a wood burner, TV and DVD player and is a particularly peaceful spot to sit and gaze at the view and capture the last of the evening sunlight as it streams through the window. At the other end of the cottage is the dining area complete with a dining table, dresser and writing desk. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric cooker, dishwasher and a French door leads from the kitchen to a small breakfast terrace which provides some of the finest views in St Mawes, to sit and plan your days’ adventure while enjoying your morning coffee. Upstairs are two bedrooms, the en-suite master bedroom offers a kingsize bed with en-suite shower and a beautiful sash window with sea views.

The second bedroom has twin beds a writing desk and two sash windows overlooking the harbour. The family bathroom has a large bath with shower over and heated towel rail. Outside the well-stocked garden is on three levels with two private patio areas and a third large slate terrace area with a teak dining table and plenty of seating for al fresco dining or outdoor cooking in the barbecue area. Beach ½ mile. Located in the popular village of St Mawes, Verbena is 50 yards away from Tavern Beach and the local village pubs, restaurants and shops are less than a 5-minute walk.
