The beautiful village of Brompton lies 8 miles to the west of Scarborough, a tranquil picturesque village home to the church where the poet William Wordsworth married. A picture postcard village with a small stream running down to a picnic area. Here you can feed the ducks and watch the swans and other wildlife.
The farmer’s hens roam freely around the village which gives that feeling of really being in the countryside and amongst the farming community. The visitor centre within the forest is popular all year round with its great café and the events that are organised for the children throughout the year. It’s also home to ‘Go Ape’ a high ropes adventure course with zip wires and swings.
