Secret View Cottage is a traditional stone built mid terraced cottage sat in an elevated position on the top of Terrington Bank, just outside the pretty village of Terrington in the Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with easy access to York, Malton and Helmsley. It is ideal for a couple or small family to enjoy an active holiday, and is also perfect to just relax and enjoy the stunning scenery. This pretty cottage is the perfect place to return to and relax after a day exploring the local area. The interior is full of character and even features wooden panelling in the open plan living area where you can relax in front of the TV in one of the deep comfortable armchairs or settee.
The country style kitchen offers a full range of culinary amenities and a cosy seating area with more than enough seating for three. From here a door leads out to a small patio area. Make your way to the first floor and you will find a double and single bedroom. Both of which are decorated in neutral tones and provide high end soft furnishings. Both of these rooms provide wonderful and far reaching views across North Yorkshire. For those looking to enjoy the great outdoors you can enjoy a round of golf at York Golf Club, only a five minute drive away, spend the day exploring the North Yorkshire Moors National Park which is on the doorstep or enjoy one of the many public footpaths and cycle routes that criss-cross this area.
A day exploring Castle Howard and the Howardian Hills is an absolute must. For a little culture you can spend time exploring the historic city of York with its cobbled streets and magnificent minster or enjoy the many independent shops, tea rooms, cafés and restaurants in Malton and Helmsley which are arguably two of Yorkshires finest town’s. Just under an hour away are the seaside towns of Whitby and Scarborough; perfect for the summer months or a windy winter walk along the promenade.
