For the those who enjoy the horse racing, Beverley Racecourse has some excellent meetings and you are only an hour away from the York meeting, one of the best racecourses in the country. The stately homes of Sledmere and Burton Agnes Hall are just a short drive away, both excellent places to visit with beautiful gardens and delightful cafès.
