Set in a peaceful location, yet only 12 miles from the city of Hull, this barn conversion is in a great spot for exploring the east Yorkshire coast.

3 steps to entrance (with ramp access). All on the ground floor.
Living room: With wood burner, Freeview TV, DVD player, iPod dock, CD player and beams.
Dining room: With beams.
Kitchen: With electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, beams and tiled floor.
Bedroom: With kingsize bed.
Bathroom: With bath, shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail.

Initial logs for wood burner included. 3 small dogs welcome. Private parking for 2 cars.

Both properties: Biomass central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Washing machine (shared with other property on-site). No smoking.

Standing peacefully in the heart of the Holderness countryside, these quaint, semi-detached barn conversions, in the grounds of the owner’s home, are close to the east Yorkshire coastline and surrounded by quiet walking and cycling trails. Fitling Cottage (ref UKC2625) offers a cosy living room with wood burner, a well-equipped kitchen and a very comfortable bedroom, whilst the bathroom has both a bath and separate shower cubicle. On entering Stables Cottage (ref UK10324) the bedroom is immediately in front of you with a large en-suite bathroom, with the shower over the bath. All the rooms in Stables Cottage boast vaulted ceilings and original beams, however, the Velux window in the bedroom bathes the room in sunshine and adds a further touch of character, as well as the double bed guaranteeing a peaceful night’s sleep. The kitchen has all the essentials needed to prepare meals during your holiday, and the living room comes complete with a wood burner.

With comfortable seating and a large TV, this room is perfect to relax in at the end of a busy day sightseeing in the local area, or why not enjoy a glass or two on the small patio area immediately outside the property.
These properties provides an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area. Take a walk along Mappleton Sands, 3 miles, which is a great dog-friendly beach, and enjoy the seaside resort of Hornsea with its museum and Freeport shopping centre. A birdwatcher’s paradise can be found at Hornsea Mere, Spurn Point and RSPB Bempton.
An interesting day out can be spent at Burton Constable Hall, a magnificent Elizabethan mansion with Capability Brown landscaped parkland and historic stables. Hull, 12 miles, is the home city of poet Philip Larkin and birthplace of William Wilberforce.

Places of interest here include The Deep, a huge sealife aquarium, the Ferens Art Gallery, the Maritime Museum and Hull Truck Theatre. Bridlington can be reached in 45 minutes, with the impressive Sewerby Hall and Gardens found just a little further on, and the charming market town of Beverley is a 30-minute drive, where you can visit the beautiful minster, stroll along the cobbled streets lined with interesting shops, or enjoy the pavement cafés and fine dining restaurants. Filey is within an hour’s drive, and inland lies the rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds which inspired the famous David Hockney paintings. Beach 3 miles. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
