Inside, traditional features including the original stone-flagged living-room floor and a cosy multi-fuel stove, sit alongside an eclectic collection of artwork, antiques and furniture gathered during the owner’s travels. Full of colour, creativity and personality, every room has its own story to tell. Guests wishing to use the stove should bring their own fuel.
The cottage has two charming bedrooms, each with a 4ft small double bed, making them best suited to couples, close friends or guests who are happy to get cosy.
Please note that the cottage is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility. There are 17 stone steps leading to the entrance, followed by steep, narrow internal stairs. This should also be considered when bringing heavy or bulky luggage.
The lively market town of Todmorden is just over a mile away, with independent shops, cafés, pubs and a popular market. Surrounded by dramatic Calderdale countryside, the area is ideal for walkers, cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts. Discover Bridestones Moor or enjoy gentler walks and cycle rides along the picturesque Rochdale Canal.
Five miles away, creative Hebden Bridge offers independent shops, galleries and cafés, while Hardcastle Crags has more than 400 acres of beautiful National Trust woodland. Haworth, home to the Brontë Parsonage Museum and Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, is around 30 minutes away by car.
Walsden railway station is approximately half a mile away, with direct trains to Manchester taking around 30 minutes. Whether you are planning a peaceful escape or an active break, Rupert’s Nook provides a memorable base for exploring the Calder Valley.
