You can return to relax in the rear courtyard, which is fully lit and enjoys comfortable seating, a barbeque, and a wood-burning clay pizza oven.
The bustling market town of Leyburn is just 4 miles, where you will find a selection of individual country shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants, together with the largest auction house in England. Hawes, another market town and home to the famous Wensleydale Creamery is 13 miles away. For those interested in history and architecture, Middleham Castle, Bolton Castle and Jervaulx Abbey are all less than 10 miles away.
For family fun, book tickets for the Forbidden Corner (a 4-acre garden with follies, statues and labyrinths), which is a treat for all ages. The popular Polar Express train ride is also close by.
