Extra Amenities

Robin Hood’s Bay is one of the most popular coastal locations in Yorkshire and is a maze of cobbled streets and higgledy piggledy houses which seem to tumble down towards the sea. With a number of traditional pubs and restaurants, independent shops and tearooms, you could almost spend your whole holiday in the bay, a real gem hidden along the Yorkshire Coast. Just a stone’s throw from the beach, this Robin Hood’s Bay cottage is perfect for enjoying a traditional seaside holiday and to explore the spectacular scenery of the North York Moors National Park.
Resthaven is a quirky semi-detached cottage dating back to the 18th century and set over 3 floors. The bedrooms are on the top and bottom floors with a comfortable open plan living/dining room/kitchen area nestled in between. There is a small outdoor terrace on the ground floor and the wonderful lawned garden with stunning sea views is breathtaking.

Although it’s a struggle to drag yourself away from this amazing little bay, it’s also a walkers paradise with the Wainwrights Coast to Coast walk starting or finishing in the village, as well as The Cleveland Way passing through. Take a stroll along the cobbled alleyways and narrow streets or enjoy an exhilarating walk on the cliff-top Cleveland Way before heading out into the rugged North York Moors National Park. The National Cycle Network passes nearby and due to the popularity of the Tour de Yorkshire, the area is becoming more and more popular with road and mountain bike enthusiasts. The Dalby Forest has tracks and challenges for all levels from amateur riding to a full on championship course!
Just along the coast is the bustling fishing town of Whitby with the abbey and the 199 steps on the East Cliff towering above the cobbled backstreets, shops, bars and restaurants.

Busy all year round and there is always something happening in the town from Regattas, Goth Weekenders and live music events or just enjoy a stroll along the 3 miles of golden sands heading north towards the exclusive village of Sandsend. The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway departs from the town on a regular basis and snakes its way through ’Heartbeat’ country into the depths of the North York Moors National Park which has so much more to offer. The medieval walled city of York is just an hour away boasting many attractions such as the National Railway Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre. Beach 300 yards. Shop and pub 75 yards, restaurant 100 yard
