A short stroll brings you to the colourful harbour almost protected by the abbey ruins and St Mary’s church. The cobbled streets are home to ancient fisherman’s cottages, inns, tea rooms, antique and curio shops. Whitby hosts the 60’s Festival, Folk Week, Regatta Week, the Beer Festival, and goth weekends. Join the ghost walk, visit the Captain James Cook Museum or board the steam train to Goathland and Grosmont. Golf, fishing and seagoing trips available. Shop, pub and restaurant 20 yards.
