Set in the heart of this seaside town, this charming, terraced holiday cottage was built in the style of a fisherman’s cottage but has the benefit of contemporary fixtures and fittings - and it comes with parking, a real bonus in such a central location! Stylishly decorated, this home-from-home has had a bit of a revamp during lockdown with new furnishings, an induction hob in the kitchen and breakfast bar.
The open-plan layout is perfect for extended families enabling all to be in the same room while enjoying different things be it watching TV, playing a board game, or cooking. Wake up to your own barista style coffee brewed in the Lavazza coffee machine and enjoy sipping it while sitting on the new purpose-built cushioned outdoor seating in the private patio.
It’s also perfect for al-fresco dining when you want to escape from the crowds. But if dining out is your thing, enjoy a leisurely soak in the bath and add the finishing touches to your outfit with the help of a smart touch sensitive sensor mirror.
The property is minutes away from the harbour and cobbled streets lined with antique curio shops, cafe bars and restaurants. There are also museums, art galleries, designer clothes and homeware shops and a cliff-top golf course to enjoy, as well as ghost walks, galleries, museums, and a stunning harbour to stroll around. Climb the 199 steps to Whitby’s famous Abbey, the inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and admire the spectacular views over the town and harbour.
With many festivals held in the town throughout the year, there really is something for everyone.
The delights of the picturesque village of Robin Hood’s Bay, and the seaside resorts of Scarborough, Staithes and Runswick Bay are easily accessed. For an alternative day out, board the North York Moors steam railway in Whitby for a memorable journey through the Esk Valley, and step back in time with a stop at the ’Heartbeat’ village of Goathland. Golf and fishing nearby. Board games and toys provided. Pub 50 yards.
