This lovely ground floor apartment is ideally situated just a 5-minute walk from the centre of Whitby, in a quiet area of the town. This two bedroom, ground floor apartment is perfect for couples and families alike with an open plan living, dining and kitchen area making a wonderful social hub. There are even side views of Whitby marina where you can see passing pleasure boats and the steam of the trains as they chug inland.
Venture out into the wonderful streets of this Gothic town, made famous by Bram Stoker’s novel ’Dracula’. Take a walk in the old part of town, dating back to the 1700s, and explore the cobbled streets with its bazaars, cafés and pubs, or walk up the famous 199 steps to the church of Saint Mary for an amazing view over the town.
Take a boat trip out to sea for a unique view of the Yorkshire Heritage Coast and maybe even catch a glimpse of whales, dolphins and seals, or hop on the open top bus which makes regular tours of the town. Venture further afield to seek out some of the beautiful villages, coves and bays that are dotted along the coast. Take a step back in time to the days of pirates and smuggling with hidden gems such as Robin Hoods Bay and Staithes.
Head inland to admire the natural beauty of the North York Moors National Park, with mile upon mile of nature trails and walks such as the Cinder Track and the Cleveland Way.
Visit stunning waterfalls such as Falling Foss, or even take a ride on the steam train which ventures into ’Heartbeat’ country and the quaint village of Goathland. There is a variety of attractions in the area from the war time museum at Eden Camp to roller coasters at Flamingo Land. The traditional seaside resort of Scarborough is just 20 miles with its mini fun fair, Sealife Centre and Peasholm Park attractions as well as the sweeping North and South Bays. Beach 1 mile.
