Hidden behind a stone archway you will discover a lovely little detached bungalow an excellent base to explore the local area. The property boasts two good sized bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. The bedrooms give guests the choice of sleeping arrangements and are both very comfortable to relax in after a day exploring. Along side the bedrooms you will find the fitted modern shower room with a light and airy feel. To the other end of the property is the large open plan living/dining/kitchen to enjoy. Outside, the property has a lawned garden and patio area for guests use with seating.
The small village of Codnor is close to the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border and is situated a few miles from Ripley and within reach of the Peak District National Park. A short walk away from the accommodation is the village pub which serves wonderful food, and nearby Ripley has a larger selection of pubs, as well as shops, supermarkets and a post office. Crich, the home of the National Tramway Museum is close by as is Matlock and Matlock Bath, which also offers a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as attractions including Gulliver’s Kingdom.
Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car that takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham, a great place for all the family with its show caves, nature trail, water gardens and Owl Maze. A little bit further away is the start of the High Peak Cycle Trail, while other places to discover include the market town of Bakewell, Chatsworth House and park and Haddon Hall, with Carsington Water offering fantastic watersports, not to be missed! The property is ideal at any time of the year
