The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable, set in a peaceful location overlooking the valley. It's a little out of the way, but then that's exactly what we wanted. A car is definitely required as any shops and amenities are a short drive away back down the farm track leading up to the farm.Although, there is a working farm/trading estate directly behind the cottage we never had any issues with noise or disruption.

We had a wonderful week spent at the Look-out and hope to return again. The owner Ann was extremely helpful and provided information weeks in advance and during our stay. The cottage had everything we needed and more and the views were beautiful.

The let had lovely views. It came equipped with a 13.5 tog duvet which I believe is excessive for September. However, the owner did provide alternatives when requested.Cooking was spoiled by the electric hob which was idiosyncratic in operation despite instructions and help from the owner (who accepted it was difficult to operate). Sitting room sofa and armchair were not comfortable for a person of small stature (my wife). The let was in a remote location so there were no local facilities.Notwithstanding the above we enjoyed our stay and found the owners very helpful.

The Lookout is an exceptional property. There was everything provided and it was spotless. It was so spacious and a pity that there was not a second bedroom as it would also be ideal for 4 people. Would highly recommend the Lookout it was one of the best holiday properties we have been to
