Inside, Bliebell offers a snug and unfussy stay, ideal for families or couples looking for a rural break. While it doesn’t have its own bathroom, guests have full use of the nearby shared shower block, which also includes a shared outdoor sink area great for BBQ prep and a sunroom for unwinding. The location is a real highlight.
Set between Ellesmere (5 miles) and Oswestry (9 miles), there’s easy access to local shops, markets, waterside walks, and the glacial lakes known as the Shropshire Meres. The village of St Martins (2 miles) has all your essentials, including a supermarket, pub, café, and electric vehicle charging.
With the Welsh border just a mile away, you’re also well-placed to discover Llangollen’s canal boats, steam trains and hilltop walks, or visit historic sites like Chirk Castle, Erddig Hall and Whittington Castle. Walkers and cyclists can explore the scenic Llangollen Canal, including the Chirk and Pontcysyllte aqueducts, the latter a World Heritage Site.
For family days out, there’s Park Hall Farm, Alderford Lake for paddleboarding, and even a local ice cream farm and gin distillery within walking distance.
There are five pods on site, and guests may book multiple pods together. When booked as a group, the site can accommodate up to 18 guests, ideal for relaxed gatherings. And while the hot tub is private to Bluebell, if booked as part of a group, it can be shared among your party.
