Set where the River Aln meets the sea, it offers a wonderful mix of coast, countryside and history, making it a great choice for guests visiting the area for the first time. The village began life as a busy port and still has a fascinating character shaped by its maritime past. Today, it is loved for its scenic estuary views, unspoilt shoreline and relaxed pace, with plenty of places to eat and drink within easy reach.
The beach is one of Alnmouth’s biggest attractions, with a huge sweep of golden sand that is perfect for walking, paddling, picnics and dog-friendly days by the sea.
