Cranesbill is an eye-catching, well designed, detached property resting within a charming quarry on the outskirts of Bamburgh, Northumberland. Be awe-inspired entering the stunning open planned living/kitchen/dining space with floor to ceiling windows exposing views of the quarry from one end, and views towards Bambugh Castle from the other.
The kitchen has been finished to the highest of standards and is extremely well designed throughout. Continuing through the open-plan space, you will discover the living area, boasting a bright and welcoming atmosphere thanks to the floor to ceiling windows overlooking a dramatic quarry backdrop. The lounge also offers a wood burning stove with a basket of logs to get you going, setting the scene for them more chilly evenings. Once the evening draws to a close choose one of three stylish bedrooms. The first bedroom is a king room with en-suite facilities, the second bedroom is another spacious king room, and the third bedroom is a good-sized twin room with a TV.

All bedrooms have good storage and are very comfortable ensuring a great night’s sleep. To the front of the property, you will find a contemporary bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower, allowing you to start each day with a rejuvenating rinse. On a warm evening head out onto the decked area and take in the breath-taking scenery that surrounds you. End your evening with your feet up and cosy down on the outdoor sofas and relax under the stars with your chosen beverage.
The lodge is not only set amongst an idyllic, picturesque quarry backdrop, but is very close to the popular village of Bamburgh; a great day out for you and the family. Bamburgh is a stunningly attractive small village set on the Northern stretch of the Northumberland Coast. It is without doubt dominated by its magnificently striking castle that can be seen for miles around, giving the whole village a somewhat dramatic feeling.

You can’t fail to be impressed by the sheer scale of the castle once you are up close and in the village itself.
There is much to do in the village alongside the castle and its amazing history, there are impressive stretches of pure golden sandy beaches, many English tea rooms and restaurants, St. Aidan’s Church and a newly renovated museum dedicated to Grace Darling. Why not hit the waves yourself with a trip to the Farne Islands? Take a boat trip from Seahouses and see the medieval Pele Tower and Victorian Lighthouse, as well as the famous sea bird colony. Depending on the time of year, you might catch a glimpse of the friendly seals and puffins that visit the islands’ shores. Golfers flock to Bamburgh, where the Bamburgh Castle Golf Club offers a particularly picturesque round. Wherever your Northern adventure may take you, be sure to start it from the comforts of Cranesbill!.
