Extra Amenities

This deceptively spacious, semi-detached, old fisherman’s cottage is set just off the harbour in the centre of Craster. Dating back to 1890, it is tucked away, only a stone’s throw from the sea. It has a tiered garden which is detached from the property, about 30 yards away with views to the sea and harbour. The coastal path leads to Dunstanburgh Castle and onto the sandy beaches at Embleton. Brimming with character and sprinkled with family antiques, this holiday cottage provides a homely and welcoming base to explore this magnificent coastline and beyond. Craster is steeped in tradition and centred on the ‘picture-postcard’ harbour, where visitors should try the smoked Craster kippers from the smokery or the local pub. The coastline and inland is peppered with friendly villages and castles, where visitors will find they have to return to enjoy what is reputedly the most unpopulated and unspoilt county in England. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
